Human-centred Interaction Design methods create prototype after prototype and test it with target users until a successful interactive solution is found. How do we define successful? Tricycle defines a successful interactive product or service as one in which a pre-defined purpose is achieved through the user's easy, effective and enjoyable interaction with the system or device.
There is no fully developed language to cater for the design of interactive technology. As designers, we are forced to draw on the language of previous creative modes such as words, poetry, painting, drawing, icons, typography, sculpture, sound, film and animation. There is a call from within the international Interaction Design community to develop an independent language of interaction, a language more true to the medium. Tricycle Interactive looks forward to being a part of this journey in some small way.
